Remote Account Coordinator I - Healthcare Insurance (Tennessee Only)A growing specialty healthcare insurance organization is seeking a Remote Account Coordinator I to support policy services and healthcare provider documentation processes. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative and customer service experience who enjoys managing documentation, coordinating requests, and supporting healthcare provider credentialing activities.Location: Remote - Candidates must reside in TennesseeSchedule: Standard business hours (Central Time preferred)Position OverviewThe Account Coordinator I supports policy services operations and assists with healthcare provider documentation and credentialing inquiries. This position plays an important role in ensuring requests from clients, providers, and third parties are handled accurately and efficiently.This role works closely with Account Managers, Underwriting teams, and internal departments to coordinate documentation, process requests, and maintain organized records.Key ResponsibilitiesPolicy & Client SupportRespond to customer and provider inquiries via phone, email, and fax regarding policies, documentation, and account statusExplain policy information and insurance documentation to ensure clients understand coverage detailsRespond to questions related to payments, documentation, and policy information in a timely and professional mannerCredentialing & Documentation SupportCoordinate and support healthcare provider credentialing and insurance verification processesRespond to credentialing and documentation requests from external organizationsProcess claims history and documentation requests from third partiesAdministrative OperationsManage incoming correspondence including emails, faxes, and returned mailRoute documentation to appropriate internal team members including account managers and underwriting teamsMaintain organized records and documentation while handling sensitive informationCross-Functional SupportCollaborate with internal departments to resolve client issues and ensure service excellenceManage multiple requests and deadlines while maintaining attention to detailMaintain records in compliance with HIPAA and internal confidentiality standardsQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required2+ years of administrative support experience requiredCustomer service experience strongly preferredStrong organization and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Experience supporting healthcare insurance, credentialing coordination, or policy services is a plusIdeal CandidateThe ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable communicating with healthcare providers and clients while managing documentation and administrative workflows.Equal Opportunity Employer / Disabled / Protected VeteransThe Know Your Rights poster is available here:pay transparency policy is available here:temporary assignments lasting 13 weeks or longer, AppleOne is pleased to offer major medical, dental, vision, 401k and any statutory sick pay where required.We are committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities.
