With a great company culture and ample opportunities for growth and development, this is the perfect opportunity for anyone looking to soar in their career.JOB DUTIES:Ability to inspect, troubleshoot, and perform repairsAbility to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, maintenance manuals, blueprints, electrical schematics, company policy and procedures and Federal Aviation RegulationsAbility to communicate effectively with verbal and written skills, including the ability to interpret documents such as safety guidelines and operating manualsAbility to complete basic math tasksProfessional appearance in compliance with the Employee HandbookAbility to perform repetitive tasksAbility to work in a potentially noisy environmentAbility to perform minor maintenance on ground support equipment as neededAbility to work outdoors and in weather as necessaryAbility to work near moving mechanical parts and aircraftSign-off on the maintenance actions that are taken using your mechanic's certificateAbility to tow aircraftAbility to maintain a clean work areaAbility to perform other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:FAA mechanic's certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratingsPassport and/or ability to obtain passport within 60 days of hireMust be at least 18 years of ageEligibility to work in the United StatesValid driver's licenseMust be able to lift up to 75 lbs., climb ladders, and maneuver around aircraftSuccessful completion of pre-employment DOT drug screening and other required background checksAbility to obtain an airport SIDA badgeWillingness and ability to travel to recover aircraft, work with other bases, and/or meet the training needs of the companyAbility to work overtime, and/or after-hour call outs will be occasionally requiredPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Familiarity with Learjet airframes and systems (e.g., Lear 35/60) a plusBENEFITS:Competitive compensation - commensurate with industry, experience, and base locationHealth/Dental/Vision Benefits packages with options for employee +/- dependents401K with company matchPTO accrual for vacation and sick timeFamily-owned company with emphasis placed on work-life balanceFrequent training and growth opportunitiesSierra West Airlines is an equal opportunity employer.
