Our client is looking to fill the role of Desktop Support Engineer. The A/V Operations Technician is responsible for delivering reliable and high-quality audio-visual support across conference rooms, studios, and Zoom collaboration environments. This role ensures smooth daily A/V operations, incident resolution, Zoom client management, and conference room readiness. The technician also supports Zoom software packaging and enterprise deployments across Windows and macOS platforms while collaborating closely with engineering, networking, and workplace teams. Pay range :$40/hr on w2 to $43/hr on w2 Responsibilities: Conferencing & Room Support Provide operational support for conference rooms, studios, Zoom Rooms, and collaboration technologies. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with devices, DSPs, CPUs, cameras, microphones, and displays. Perform room readiness checks and certification across the A/V fleet. Incident Response, Ticketing & Service Management Manage and resolve A/V incidents and service requests through ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Jira. Maintain strong ticket documentation including updates, root-cause analysis, and resolution steps. Monitor SLA performance and escalate issues when required. Identify recurring problems and recommend improvements. Zoom Client Packaging & Deployment Package, test, and validate Zoom client deployments for Windows (MSI/EXE) and macOS (.pkg/.dmg). Maintain Zoom deployment configurations including auto-update settings, SSO parameters, and device management controls. Work with End User Engineering teams to deploy Zoom via tools such as Intune, Jamf, SCCM, or other MDM solutions. Test new Zoom releases and patches for compatibility before enterprise rollout. Maintain documentation and release notes for internal support teams. Preventative Maintenance & Lifecycle Perform scheduled preventative maintenance including firmware updates, DSP tuning, equipment checks, and system inspections. Assist with equipment refresh cycles, decommissioning, and new installations. Maintain inventory records for A/V equipment and spare parts. Operational Excellence & Documentation Develop and maintain SOPs, troubleshooting guides, diagrams, and knowledge base articles. Update system configuration records and asset information after changes. Provide weekly operational insights and system health metrics. Installations, Builds & Provisioning Support small to medium A/V system installations including rack work, cabling, labeling, and patching. Assist with provisioning processes such as testing plans and endpoint validation. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Engineering, Networking, Workplace Experience, and Facilities teams on integrated A/V solutions. Support Zoom releases, new room designs, firmware validations, and feature rollouts. Assist integration teams with vendor coordination and equipment deliveries. Provide feedback to engineering teams about recurring issues and opportunities for automation. Required Qualifications: Required 35 years of experience in corporate A/V, Zoom support, or a related technical field. Hands-on experience with conferencing technologies such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams. Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows and macOS A/V and Zoom applications. Experience with software packaging and deployment using tools like Intune, Jamf, SCCM, or other endpoint management platforms. Understanding of A/V signal flow, acoustics, IP networking fundamentals, and collaboration platforms. Excellent documentation, communication, and customer service skills. Preferred Experience with broadcast technologies, encoders, NDI/SRT workflows, or production tools. Familiarity with scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python, Zoom APIs, or Lua for Q-SYS).
