Business Analyst

Title: Business Analyst Location: Richardson, TX 75081 Duration: 6+ Months with an extension   Overview We are seeking a Senior Healthcare Business Analyst with over 10 years of experience in Encounters and Claims management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of EDIFECS platform tools, deep knowledge of Healthcare EDI transactions (834, 835, 837), and very strong SQL skills. This role requires close collaboration with clients, mentoring junior team members, and supporting complex healthcare data transformations and validations. Key Responsibilities Act as a Business Analyst for healthcare encounters and claims management initiatives Analyze and document business requirements and translate them into source-to-target mappings (STTM) Work extensively with EDIFECS platform tools including Spec Builder, Trading Partner (TP) setup, Application Manager, and Transaction Manager Validate translated EDI files against transformation rules and business requirements Define and implement custom rules and validation logic within EDIFECS Support EDI transactions (834, 835, 837) with detailed understanding of loops, segments, and key attributes Collaborate closely with clients and stakeholders through regular interactions Mentor and guide junior BAs and team members Top Skills Healthcare Domain: Encounters management, Claims management EDI & EDIFECS: EDIFECS platform, Spec Builder, TP setup, Application Manager, Transaction Manager, EDI 834/835/837 Technical Skills: Very strong SQL, data mapping (STTM), validation and custom rule definition Soft Skills: Client interaction, mentoring, requirement analysis and design
