There is grand landscape of opportunities that supports the community we serve, so Join the Gándara team today!Benefits:Retirement Plan 403(b)Health, Dental, Vision, Pet and Life InsurancePaid vacationsPaid holidays8 discretionary daysMileage ReimbursementYearly Salary: Salary: $64,000 The Program Director is responsible for development, management and operations of an active recovery support center that develops and maintains peer-to-peer support services and activities provided for and by people in recovery from substance abuse.The recovery support center is encompassed in peer governance and uses the peer participatory process to create a safe, inclusive environment to promote ongoing growth and long term recovery.Responsibilities include:Oversees center operations and administrationSupervises staff and directly or indirectly supervises volunteers.Manage all peer supports and peer activities, and works with staff and peers to maintain project timelinesOversees strategic planning, project development and implementationOversees data collection and submission of reportsAssists with budget development and fiscal managementAssists with grant writing as neededEngagement of community and key stakeholder partnershipsRepresentation of center at local and statewide meetings and conferencesKeeping abreast of the national recovery movement and its impact on the recovery support center and its peersEducating the community on the impact of stigma of addictionNetworking with the MA Recovery Support Centers and MOAR (MA Organization for Addiction Recovery)This position works closely with the Dept. of Public Health, Bureau of Substance Abuse Services, Regional Contract Manager, Level of Care Coordinator and the network of recovery centers and programs across the state and country.Qualifications: The Director must:Embrace and work in a culturally and linguistically diverse recovery communitySupport all paths to recovery and have a minimum of 5 years of solid recoveryHave a comprehensive understanding of substance addiction and recoveryCommunicate effectively orally and in writingHave working knowledge of community building and planningHave proven skills in critical thinking, leadership and organization, as well as strong interpersonal boundariesHave better than average experience using a computer and required softwareBilingual (Spanish/English) Encouraged to applyHave experience and knowledge of the Holyoke community, its organizations and service providersTravel Requirements: Statewide travel is required for meetings, trainings and conferences.
