A licensed Special Education Teacher with a passion for middle school education is needed to provide dedicated support for students with exceptional needs during the 2025-2026 school year. This full-time, contract position is based in Cary, NC, starting April 1 through June 5. The role focuses on delivering targeted Resource support in ELA and Math to 2-3 exceptional children's services (ECS) students within an academic skills and occupational skills class setting. Key Responsibilities: Provide specialized instruction to middle school ECS students in Resource ELA and Math. Collaborate closely with a full-time Educational Classroom Teaching Assistant (ECTA) who has supported these students throughout the year. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) with solid, clear, and measurable goals. Monitor student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual learning needs. Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with school staff and families. Start quickly and adapt to the existing classroom environment to ensure students experience continuity and growth. Qualifications: Current licensure as a Special Education Teacher. Proven experience teaching middle school students, especially within exceptional children's services. Strong ability to write comprehensive IEPs aligned with state and federal guidelines. Skilled in working collaboratively with teaching assistants and other educational staff. Ability to start immediately and effectively manage ongoing classroom responsibilities. Location: Cary, NC - Contract position for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year.
