This senior leadership role requires a seasoned mortgage professionalwith extensive experience in mortgage operations, pipeline management, projectexecution, technology interface, industry trends, and compliance management.The VP will lead a team of operations professionals to ensure efficient andcompliant processing, underwriting, closing, and quality control of mortgageloans in accordance with industry regulations and Bank policies.Role and Responsibilities1. Strategic Leadership:Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to optimize mortgage operations, driving efficiency, quality, and compliance to meet Bank budget.Provide leadership and direction to the mortgage operations teams, setting clear goals and objectives aligned with the Bank's overall mission and objectives.In partnership with senior leadership, develop annual strategic initiatives for residential mortgage lending as well as contribute to the Bank's annual budget preparation process.This includes monitoring performance against objectives throughout the year.2. Mortgage Operations Management:Oversee all aspects of mortgage loan origination and processing operations, including disclosure, application processing, underwriting, closing, and funding.Ensure efficient workflow processes, systems, and technology infrastructure to support timely and accurate processing of mortgage loans.Monitor key performance metrics and operational KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.3. Compliance and Risk Management:Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices related to mortgage operations and loan servicing.Establish and enforce compliance policies, procedures, and controls to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations, including RESPA, TILA, HMDA, and others.Conduct regular audits and reviews of mortgage operations and servicing activities to identify compliance gaps and implement corrective actions.4. Team Leadership and Development: Recruit, train, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of mortgage operations and servicing professionals.Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the operations and servicing teams. Promote in-office culture consistent with organizational standards.Provide coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to support associate growth and development.5.
