Job Description

Manufacturing Engineer - Shape the Future of Aerospace Manufacturing Elevate your career by joining a team where your technical expertise directly impacts product quality, cost efficiency, and next‑generation aerospace manufacturing. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll be the technical authority for your assigned projects - driving innovation, optimizing processes, and partnering closely with customers, suppliers, and cross‑functional teams. If you thrive in a fast‑paced environment and love seeing your engineering work come to life on real aerospace hardware, this is the opportunity for you. What You'll Do In this role, you'll take ownership of the technical health of multiple aerospace products. You will: * Craft clear, high‑impact work instructions for detail parts, sub‑assemblies, and top assemblies. * Apply operation time standards and build Work Combination Sheets (WCS) that enhance efficiency. * Ensure every part and assembly is manufacturable, cost‑effective, and aligned with program requirements. * Serve as the go-to technical liaison between manufacturing teams and customer engineering. * Partner with suppliers to develop robust processes and resolve issues quickly. * Support New Product Introduction (NPI) - ensuring new parts reach the floor smoothly and successfully. * Continuously evaluate process effectiveness and bring forward data‑driven cost reduction ideas. * Participate in exciting multi-disciplinary cost‑reduction initiatives. * Lead or support Production Support Teams to rapidly solve manufacturing challenges. * Own root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action to eliminate defects. * Validate and document processes across machining, forming, stamping, heat treating, and chemical processes involving titanium, Inconel, aluminum, and stainless steel. * Manage engineering changes and ensure flawless implementation. * Collaborate with tooling design teams to support manufacturing and assembly optimization. * Develop new and improved manufacturing processes using in-house capabilities. * Review production drawings and provide engineering insight and recommendations. * Support quoting efforts with technical input that drives accuracy and competitiveness. What You Bring * Strong foundation in manufacturing engineering and continuous improvement. * Hands-on experience in aerospace manufacturing processes. * Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with cross‑functional teams. * A passion for solving technical problems and improving manufacturing workflows. Qualifications * B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 3+ years in engineering (Aerospace preferred), or * M.S. with 2+ years of aerospace engineering experience. * Experience in fast‑paced manufacturing environments. * Knowledge of sheet metal (welding, forming, NDT), GD&T, and aerospace materials is a plus. Why You'll Love This Role * A stable Monday-Friday schedule with a flexible start time between 6 AM and 8 AM. * A focused work environment - this building supports one key customer and only 30 parts, making the workflow more streamlined and manageable. * A strong and collaborative team of 15 engineers and planners. * Real ownership and visibility while reporting directly to leadership until the new manager is appointed. * Opportunities to travel - including an annual trip to our Mexico facility for part offloading support. * A chance to directly influence quality, cost, and manufacturability across critical aerospace programs.
