People Business Partner Job ID 267321 Posted 23-Mar-2026 Service line GWS Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest People/Human Resources Location(s) Beaverton - Oregon - United States of America About the Role: As a CBRE People Business Partner, you will assist with the roll-out and communication of HR initiatives, policies, and procedures. This job is part of the People Strategy and Operations function. They are responsible for the design, execution, and monitoring of human resource programs and policies. What You'll Do: * This role operates within a highly matrixed, global professional environment, requiring the ability to collaborate effectively across regions, functions, cultures, and time zones while navigating multiple stakeholders and priorities. * Assist with the development of onboarding, career ladders, succession planning, and performance management initiatives in the organization. * Lead and navigate complex employee relations issues, provide guidance, conflict resolution, and assist with issuing disciplinary action and performance improvement counseling. * Work with managers to identify employment-related risks and lead and execute the process of investigations and grievances. * Manage several HR functions such as employment, labor relations, compensation, etc. for a business unit or line of business. * Conduct training on a variety of topics including performance management, diversity, and more. * Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions. * Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function. * Leverage data and analytics to inform, influence, and drive people and business decisions, translating insights into clear recommendations that improve outcomes across the organization. * Proactively identify opportunities and challenges, define and propose solutions, and lead complex, cross‑functional initiatives by partnering with multidisciplinary stakeholders to deliver sustainable people solutions. * Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement. * Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams. * Work within broad guidelines and policies. * Explain difficult or sensitive information. What You'll Need: * Bachelor's Degree preferred with a minimum of 6-8 years of progressively responsible HR Business Partner experience, including strategic partnership with senior leaders. In lieu of a degree, a combination of education and experience will be considered. * Additional preference will be given to candidates with SHRM or HRCI certification. * Demonstrated experience operating at a strategic and consultative level, translating business strategy into people solutions and influencing leadership decision‑making. * Strong technical and analytical capability, with experience leveraging HR systems, dashboards, and people data to diagnose issues, assess risk, and drive evidence‑based recommendations. * Ability to exercise sound judgment based on the analysis of multiple qualitative and quantitative data sources. * Willingness and ability to challenge assumptions, introduce new perspectives, and evolve existing solutions in a complex business environment. * In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including advanced Excel skills (e.g., data analysis, formulas, pivot tables). * Operational knowledge of HR technologies and systems (e.g., HRIS, performance management, talent, or engagement platforms) and the ability to apply system insights to business problems. * Highly developed organizational skills with an advanced, inquisitive, and problem‑solving mindset. * Sophisticated math skills with the ability to calculate and interpret moderately complex metrics such as percentages, trends, ratios, and other financial or workforce‑related calculations. * This role requires the ability to sit for extended periods, as well as stand, walk, and remain mobile throughout the workplace, including attending meetings and moving between workspaces as needed. * Regular use of a computer is required, including the ability to view a screen for prolonged periods, and to work effectively in a flexible, unassigned workspace environment with changing locations and collaborative settings.
