We believe exceptional studios are powered by exceptional people - and we intentionally develop leaders from within.The Manager in Training (MIT) role is a part-time, hands-on leadership development position designed for individuals who want to grow into Assistant Manager and Studio Manager roles within our organization.Role OverviewThe Manager in Training (MIT) is a developmental leadership role that provides exposure to all aspects of studio operations, team leadership, member experience, and business execution. Working closely with the Studio Manager, you'll learn the systems, standards, and decision-making required to successfully run a Mantra Fitness studio.This role is ideal for someone seeking long-term growth in fitness, hospitality, or people management - not just a shift-based position.What You'll Learn & DoStudio OperationsSupport daily studio operations including opening/closing procedures, cleanliness, and readinessLearn and use ClubReady for memberships, class scheduling, and reportingAssist with staff scheduling and time tracking using DeputySupport inventory tracking and operational organizationLeadership & Team SupportSupport and guide front desk staff during shiftsObserve and assist with onboarding and training new team membersLead shifts or team huddles when assignedModel professionalism, accountability, and strong communicationMember Experience & SalesGreet and engage members to build strong relationshipsAssist with new member onboarding and studio orientationLearn lead management and follow-up using LoyalSnapSupport sales conversations, trials, and promotions under manager guidanceInstructor & Schedule SupportAssist with class schedules and coverage coordinationSupport instructors with class setup and studio flowLearn how class utilization and performance are managed at the studio levelLeadership DevelopmentComplete structured training, shadowing, and operational checklistsParticipate in regular coaching and feedback conversationsBuild the skills needed to progress into an Assistant Manager roleWho This Role Is ForYou may be a great fit if you:Are interested in growing into a leadership role in fitness or hospitalityAre organized, reliable, and proactiveEnjoy working with people and solving problemsCommunicate clearly and professionallyThrive in a fast-paced, customer-facing environmentAre coachable and eager to learn systems and processesExperience in fitness, hospitality, retail, or customer service is helpful but not required.Schedule & CompensationPart-time role averaging ~20 hours per weekVariable shifts, including some evenings and weekendsCompetitive hourly pay based on experienceClear growth pathway into Assistant Manager and Studio Manager rolesGrowth PathManager in Training → Assistant Manager → Studio ManagerAdvancement is based on performance, readiness, and business needs.
