Take your next step with Saulsbury Industries!Location: Abilene, Odessa, or HoustonType: Full Time - In OfficeGeneral Information/Job SummaryWe are in need of a self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with at least 10+ years of experience in civil engineering work for utilities, infrastructure, and/or substation design. At this position, you will be the lead civil engineer on one or more projects at any given time. The right candidate will have the skills to complete a wide variety of difficult engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques, and analysis within the discipline while coordinating with other disciplines to complete projects.Responsibilities/CompetenciesExperience as a Civil Engineer for projects in utilities, infrastructure, and/or substation designExperience completing grading and drainage design of green field facilities from a topographical surveyAct as a discipline civil engineer for selected projectsInteract with all engineering disciplines, engineering and construction project managers, and clientsProvide input into the initial project schedule and support the regular maintenance of project schedules for all projects.Provide man hour and equipment estimates for project proposals as requiredFollow procedures and systems to maximize department efficiencyAble to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and interface with people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiencySelf-motivated with skills to work well with others and the clientRequirementsBachelor's Degree and Licensed Professional Engineer in State of TexasAt least 10 years' experience in utilities and infrastructureStrong communication skillsKnowledge of substation design, grading and drainage designProficient in RISA 3D, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Civil 3DExperienced in leading engineering team and working with Civil Design teamPhysical RequirementsProlonged periods sitting / standing at a desk and working on a computer.Ability to stand for extended periods of time.Ability to walk the property and laydown yards.Ability to carry up to 50 pounds.Saulsbury is an equal opportunity employer.
