Staff Accountant - Manufacturing

Job Title: Staff Accountant Location: Lewisville, TX Experience Required: 4–5 Years Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with manufacturing industry experience to join a growing team in the Lewisville area. This role will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with month-end close activities. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of cost accounting principles, and experience working in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and account reconciliations Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes Support inventory and cost accounting activities within a manufacturing environment Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany transactions Assist with preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules Monitor and analyze variances in production costs, materials, and overhead Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls Collaborate with operations and production teams to ensure accurate cost tracking Assist with process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency and reporting accuracy Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 4–5 years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment Experience with inventory accounting and cost accounting strongly preferred Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with ERP systems used in manufacturing environments Exposure to inventory controls, bill of materials (BOM), and standard costing Experience supporting audits or financial reporting processes Benefits Competitive benefits package Opportunity to work in a collaborative and growth-focused environment Professional development and advancement opportunities #IND1 #ZR
