The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing hands-on daily inspections and maintenance, as well as the repair, removal, reinstallation, or replacement of park rides, buildings, and equipment throughout the Noah's Ark Property.The duties of this position include maintenance of general spaces within the park, such as office buildings, pavilions or restrooms. Additionally, the Maintenance Technician may also provide maintenance services to water rides, and all other attractions found within the park.We are currently looking for a:Noah's Ark - Maintenance Technician - SeasonalRoles & Responsibilities:Roles & Responsibilities:Perform general facility-wide maintenance and related work on roofing, exterior and interior buildings and structures, restrooms, food building and pump roomsAssist with daily carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical projectsPerform daily inspection and testing of water rides, and all other attractions, signing off on its safety & completionTroubleshoot, test, service, and repair amusement rides including, but not limited to, the removal, reinstallation, and replacement of amusement ride partsProvide general upkeep and maintenance of all buildings and physical structures found within the park.Provide general maintenance, plumbing, electrical and carpentry repairsTroubleshoot, diagnose, and repair broken equipment and attractions with minimal supervisionDevelop an understanding of Electrical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic Circuits to assist with maintaining continuous ride operationPerform water quality duties within Aquatics areas of the parkSafely operate heavy equipment including forklifts, scissor lift, and moreOperate Park motor vehicles on-and-off sitePerform landscaping duties including mowing, line trimming, grounds cleanup, pruning and planting, whenever assignedAssist in the training of how to accurately operate the ride, possibly offering ride coverage for bathroom and meal breaks during peak seasonAlways adhere to all safety policies and proceduresProperly document work performed along with time and materials used per park policies and proceduresReport any maintenance, mechanical or structural issues to Maintenance and Park leadership in a timely and complete mannerAll other duties as assigned by Maintenance or Park leadershipEducation and Experience:High School diploma, GED, or equivalent Equivalent work experience will also be consideredTrade school training or other technical certification is a plus1+ year of previous maintenance or construction work experience desiredA background in a related trade such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting or landscaping is preferred but not requiredPrevious work experience performing maintenance on roller coasters, amusement rides, or other attractions desired but not requiredLanguage: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with Wisconsin Child Labor LawsAbility to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, open to closeMust possess a valid driver's license and a good driving recordMust possess strong mechanical aptitude and ability to utilize a variety of hand and power tools in a safe and effective manner, including landscaping equipmentGeneral working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pumps, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing and carpentry preferredAbility to read and comprehend ride maintenance manuals, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawingsFamiliarity and experience with water park ride mechanics a plusFamiliarity with state and local codes as they relate to theme park attractions a plusPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand, walk, stoop, twist, kneel, bend, climb, or squat for long periods of timeAbility to remain on feet for majority of the workdayAbility to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 75 pounds or moreAbility to work in all non-conventional areas of the property, including in confined spaces or above ground-level, on scaffolds, ladders, and manliftsAbility to consistently use hands to grasp, control, move objects/toolsAbility to see differences between colors and brightnessAbility to see details of objects that are more than a few feet awayWorking Conditions:Frequent exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, pollen and other weather conditionsSubject to constant repetitive motion, high noise levels, vibrations, motorized equipment, and exposure to various chemicals and greasesSubject to bloodborne pathogens Proper PPE is required in these situations.Subject to working at significant heights greater than 50 feetTeam member benefits:Working at Noah's Ark is about making people happy!
