The Director of Human Resources is a key member of the hotel's Executive Committee, serving as a strategic business partner to hotel leadership. This highly visible role provides exposure to Senior and Corporate leadership while shaping the associate experience and organizational culture. The Director of Human Resources is responsible for aligning people strategies with operational goals and service initiatives to achieve the hotel's business objectives. The HR function at Hyatt is built on a foundation of excellence, service, integrity, and accountability, and this role champions those values across the organization. The Director of Human Resources leads the strategic and operational planning of all Human Resources functions for the hotel. This includes workforce planning, recruitment and talent acquisition, compensation and benefits administration, associate and labor relations, compliance, performance management, and training and development. This role partners closely with operational leaders to build a high-performing culture that supports Hyatt's service standards while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies. This position reports directly to the General Manager. The salary range for this position is $140,000 to $170,000. This is the pay range for this position that Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education. Key Responsibilities * Strategic Leadership * Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the hotel's operational goals and Hyatt's broader business objectives * Serve as a trusted advisor to the Executive Committee and department leaders on people strategy, culture, and organizational effectiveness * Lead workforce planning initiatives to ensure appropriate staffing levels and talent pipelines * Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning * Oversee recruitment, hiring, and onboarding strategies to attract and retain top talent * Ensure effective staffing models that support operational excellence and guest service standards * Partner with department leaders to identify talent needs and succession planning opportunities * Associate Relations & Engagement * Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that reflects Hyatt's values and service standards * Provide guidance and support to managers in resolving employee relations matters and addressing associate concerns * Deliver coaching and counseling to associates and leaders as needed * Compensation, Benefits & Compliance * Manage wage and salary administration, including conducting wage and compensation surveys * Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations * Oversee benefits administration and advise leadership on compensation strategies * Training & Development * Conduct organizational needs assessments to identify training and development opportunities * Develop, implement, and monitor training programs and materials to enhance associate performance * Support leadership development initiatives and ongoing professional growth * Risk Management & Claims Administration * Manage and successfully defend against unemployment and Workers' Compensation claims * Implement and promote safety programs and accident prevention initiatives * Culture & Associate Engagement * Plan and coordinate associate engagement programs, employee recognition initiatives, and suggestion programs * Partner closely with Hyatt Corporate HR to ensure alignment with brand standards and initiatives All qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
