Our expertise, commitment to innovation, and unwavering focus on quality and safety have earned us a reputation as industry leaders in machinery moving and industrial solutions.Position SummaryWe are seeking a Shop Assistant to support daily shop and warehouse operations by maintaining equipment, assisting with facility buildouts, handling materials, and keeping the work environment clean, safe, and organized. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to safety, and a proactive, go-getter attitude to support management and ongoing projects.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain warehouse including restoring and painting equipment, fixtures, racking, and other various surfaces by applying proper painting techniques (primarily brush and roll method).Office and warehouse buildout including construction of warehouse racking systems, mounting of fixtures.General organization and cleanliness of the warehouse, trucks, toolboxes, equipment, and overall presentation of grounds.Load, unload, and clean trucks that come into the shop in a safe and efficient manner.Gather materials, as needed, for upcoming & ongoing projects.Pick up and deliver parts and supplies per shop manager direction.Routine maintenance on equipment and trucks such as filling with gas and checking fluids.Communicate with upper management when items in the shop need replenishing, repairing, or replacing.Have a go-getter attitude to help management with tasks as needed.Willing to quickly move through repetitive and routine tasks.Required Qualifications1+ years of experience working in shop environment preferredHi-lo/forklift experience a plusMust be highly mechanically inclinedSelf-motivated and able to keep up in fast paced settingExcellent communication skillsProblem-solving and decision-making skillsAbility to receive constructive criticismHigh school diploma or GEDPhysical RequirementsAbility to ascend/descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs, and/or operate scissor/boom lifts while working at heightAbility to work in confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipmentAbility to lift and carry or otherwise move up to 50 pounds regularly/occasionally Ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spacesAbility to stand for long periods of time, push, pull, bend, stoop, crouch, and crawlAbility to successfully pass a 10-panel drug screen (as needed)Benefits Participation in the Lee Machinery Movers Employee Stock Ownership ProgramCompany paid Health Insurance with an HSA option401(k) with a Safe Harbor matching programPaid Time OffExplore our website to learn more about our projects, our team, and the exciting career opportunities that await you at Lee Machinery Movers.
