Our team works closely with each location to support compassionate, resident-centered care and create positive, thriving environments for both residents and staff.Position SummaryAs the Controller, you will work closely with the CFO and the accounting team to deliver accurate financial data, analysis, forecasting, and operational insights that support key business decisions. You will interface with all levels of corporate, regional, and facility management, as well as external partners including auditors, bankers, consultants, and insurance brokers. This leadership role oversees the organization’s treasury, accounting practices, fiscal records, financial reporting, and payroll/timekeeping systems. You will directly manage 1–5 accounting team members within the corporate office.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Leadership & ReportingProduce monthly financial reports for management and external stakeholders.Maintain the general ledger, including journal entries, account analysis, and reconciliations.Oversee the preparation and accuracy of all financial statements.Treasury & BankingManage daily treasury operations.Oversee Bank Positive Pay and ACH approvals.Team ManagementLead, mentor, and develop a team of 1–5 accounting office employees.Promote strong communication, accountability, and continuous improvement.Collaboration & Strategic SupportProvide financial analysis and insights to help drive revenue growth and cost management.Partner with facility leaders and corporate departments to support decision‑making.Support external audits, tax preparation, and compliance activities.Work with outside consultants, bankers, insurance brokers, and public accounting firms.Qualifications:BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.Minimum of 3 years of accounting/financial experience.Healthcare industry experience preferred.Solid understanding of current labor laws and DOL regulations.Advanced proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Office (Excel strongly preferred).CPA a plus, but not required.Competencies & SkillsHands‑on working style; willing to dive into daily tasks as needed.Strong work ethic and a “can‑do” attitude.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.Confident leadership with strong interpersonal and communication skills.High attention to detail and organizational discipline.Ability to build effective relationships with corporate, regional, and facility teams.Focus on value‑creation—forward‑looking analysis, not just historical reporting.Project and process management abilities, with a mindset for continuous improvement.Why Join PQC?Family‑owned company with strong values and a commitment to resident care.Opportunity to influence financial strategy across a growing multistate portfolio.Collaborative leadership environment with visibility to executive leadership.Stable, expanding organization with long‑term growth opportunities.
