Teacher/Professional - Secondary - Campus Instructional Coach Job Number 0000763815 Start Date Open Date 02/01/2026 Closing Date 05/30/2027 ROLE AND PURPOSE: To improve the instruction of all students on campus through a job-embedded professional learning coaching modelQUALIFICATIONS:Education/Certification:Bachelor's Degree from Accredited UniversityMaster's degree in education (preferred)Meet NCLB highly qualified requirementsTexas Teacher's CertificationExperience: Three or more years successful teaching experience requiredMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: I. INSTRUCTIONAL MANAGEMENTTeacher Support:Formal 1-1 CoachingConferencingCo-planning and co-teachingDemonstration lessonsFocused classroom visitsAssisting in the analysis of data to determine instructional needsProfessional learningStudy groups based on campus needsStudent support in collaboration with the teacherIndividual instruction and/or assessmentSmall group instructionApply extensive knowledge of technology and instructional applicationApply extensive knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessmentApply extensive knowledge of Texas curriculum (TEKS) and state assessmentsII. SCHOOL/ORGANIZATION CLIMATEApply excellent communication and interpersonal skillsIII. SCHOOL/ORGANIZATIONAL IMPROVEMENTApply thorough knowledge of effective professional learning including coaching and adult learning theoryApply excellent organizational and time management skillsAssisting with campus documentation and reportsTesting (i.e. STAAR) evaluation and analysisIdentification of campus-wide instructional needsCoordination between grade levels and/or departmentsCommunication of district information/requirements and professional learning opportunitiesIV.
