Location: Washington DC (Hybrid) Salary Range: $65,000-$85,000 (commensurate with experience)Full-time, Non-ExemptReports to: Operations ManagerAre you a detail-oriented numbers person who thrives on organization, accuracy, and keeping financial operations running smoothly? Grossman Young & Hammond, a nationally recognized immigration, INTERPOL defense, and international human rights law firm, is seeking a Billing and Finance Administrator to support our day-to-day financial processes and ensure consistent, reliable book keeping, accounting, and billing operations.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structure, problem-solving, and working behind the scenes to support a high-performing legal team. You will play a critical administrative role in maintaining billing/invoicing accuracy, supporting financial workflows and reports, and collaborating with attorneys and staff to keep systems efficient and compliant.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and process client invoices and billing adjustments on an ongoing basisTrack collections and follow up on outstanding balancesAssist with trust accounting and financial recordkeepingPerform account reconciliations and expense trackingMaintain accurate billing and financial data in firm systemsSupport monthly reporting and bookkeeping tasksCoordinate with attorneys, staff, and vendors on billing mattersEnsure compliance with internal financial proceduresAssist with administrative finance projects as assignedWhat You BringStrong organizational skills and attention to detailComfort working with numbers and financial recordsProficiency in QuickBooks and ExcelExperience with legal billing software (FileVine or similar preferred)Clear communication and follow-throughProfessional discretion with confidential informationAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentA desire to improve and streamline existing financial systemsPreferred: Experience in a law firm or professional services settingQualificationsAssociate or Bachelor's degree preferred2-4 years of billing, bookkeeping, or financial administrative experienceDemonstrated reliability and accuracy in prior rolesWork Environment & ExpectationsHybrid role with one in-office day per week (Washington, DC)40 hours per week (eligible for overtime)Occasional schedule flexibility during billing cyclesRequires careful handling of confidential financial informationStandard office environment with extended computer useReady to join a mission-driven team that values excellence, innovation, and collaboration?Interested candidates can apply by clicking on the Grossman Young & Hammond Career Center Link.
