Job Description

Description The Staff Applications Specialist will develop and advance software technology and tools throughout the organization. This position will work with the project teams throughout the development and implementation process according to organization budget constraints and internal and external client needs. + Utilize specialized applications and tools to assist management and project teams, such as but not limited to: Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power VA, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Graph API and 3rd party data connectors, UiPath, SQL, and JSON. + Work with management and project teams to evaluate existing business processes and workflows to propose, develop, and deploy new software solutions to stakeholders. + Assist business units in developing software and technology to optimize business processes and deliverables, provide seamless integration, and improve data management. + Develop and publish business reports and dashboards with existing and new datasets. + Develop training documentation and train personnel as required for newly developed applications and reports. + Coordinate with division personnel and power users of GP design tools such as Smart Plant, Autodesk applications, and various engineering tools. + Configure security and automation flow routines within applications. + Research and compile new software applications to support project delivery and data management initiatives. + Assist in identifying new software releases or solutions for the operating software environment. + Assist development teams on operating environment before and after applications are placed in production. + Conduct feasibility studies to analyze, recommend, implement, and manage the operating environment. + Apply basic knowledge of Company Safety and Quality Control programs. Escalate risk related to compliance with company and customer policies. + Performs other duties as assigned. + Complies with all policies and standards. Qualifications + Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related degree and 4 years of relevant experience Required or + Applicable experience may be substituted for degree requirement Required + Software development and programming experience required. + Understanding of software and hardware system architecture. + Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients. + Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills. + Strong computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite). + Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills. + Experience with emerging AI technologies preferred.
