Job DescriptionJob SummarySafar Staffing is seeking reliable and detail-oriented Cleaning & Maintenance Specialists to support businesses across Minnesota in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming facilities. This role is essential to creating a professional environment by performing routine cleaning, sanitation, and light maintenance tasks in warehouses, offices, retail spaces, manufacturing plants, and other commercial settings. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, follows safety protocols, and ensures every space is well-maintained and presentable.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerform routine cleaning and sanitation of assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, break rooms, and common spacesSweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors to ensure cleanliness and safetyEmpty trash receptacles, replace liners, and manage recycling programsClean and restock restrooms with soap, paper products, and other suppliesDisinfect high-touch surfaces such as door handles, light switches, counter tops, and equipmentDust furniture, windowsills, fixtures, and other surfaces throughout the facilityPerform basic facility maintenance tasks, including changing light bulbs, minor repairs, and equipment upkeepClean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces as neededMonitor and report maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors promptlyFollow proper cleaning procedures, use appropriate cleaning agents, and adhere to safety guidelinesSupport supervisors and team members with special cleaning projects or seasonal deep-cleaning tasksRequirementsPrevious experience in janitorial, cleaning, or facility maintenance roles preferredKnowledge of proper cleaning techniques, equipment use, and chemical handlingStrong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standardsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionPhysical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periodsCapability to lift up to 30-40 lbs (cleaning supplies, equipment, trash bags)Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanorWillingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as neededBasic understanding of safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
