You will lead daily mining activities, operate heavy equipment, perform routine maintenance, and ensure compliance with industry safety standards - all while collaborating closely with your team to support smooth, efficient operations.What you will be doing Lead the mining team to meet operational goals set by the Plant ManagerSafely load aggregate materials onto haul trucksPerform dirt moving and stripping tasks as neededConduct routine inspections, fueling, greasing, and fluid refills on equipmentComplete minor maintenance and promptly report any safety or mechanical issuesUse hand tools and operate equipment to meet daily operational needsMaintain a safe and clean work environment through regular housekeeping and maintenance activitiesCollaborate with team members to achieve daily production priorities and cross-train in other positions as neededAdhere to all MSHA and company safety regulationsPerform other duties as assignedWhat we would like from you 3-5 years' experience operating heavy equipment, including excavators, dozers, blades, and front-end loadersBackground in the aggregate or mining industry is a strong assetHistory of working with power tools, welders, cutting torches, chains, and necessary safety devicesDemonstrated ability to work effectively in small teams with a self-motivated, productive attitudeBasic mechanical and math skills, plus the ability to conduct minor repairs and routine equipment maintenanceComfortable with 12-hour shifts and weekend work as requiredExperience operating heavy equipment in a plant environment preferredHigh school diploma or GED equivalent is preferredLocation and other key details: This is a full-time permanent field-based position at our Jeffco Location, 20855 Westgate Road Golden, CO.This is a safety sensitive position, offers of employment are conditional on successful completion of fitness for duty assessments, including drug and alcohol screening and a criminal background checkPosition involves working 12-hour shifts with weekend hours as necessaryTravel to various job sites required as needed, less than 10%Regular outdoor work with exposure to a range of weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snowFrequent sitting and use of fine motor skills such as manual dexterity, hand / eye coordination, and active hearing and vision Occasional standing, walking, climbing, crawling, kneeling, bending, reaching, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, and pushing or pulling as neededRegular exposure to loud noises, heavy machinery, moving equipment, oil, debris, solvents, smoke, gases, fumes, and aggregate materialsRequired to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety shoes, vests, and glasses, ear plugs, and hard hats, with additional PPE for tasks like welding or repairsSalary / Hourly Range: $25 and up with ExperienceWhy BURNCO?
