This role includes hands-on involvement in the development, implementation, and communication of quality engineering methods to maintain compliance with internal and regulatory standards. The intern will contribute to corrective action processes and continuous improvement initiatives focused on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost reduction. Key Responsibilities: - Partner cross-functionally to establish and uphold quality standards across processes, programs, and maintenance/repair activities. - Assist in the planning, execution, and analysis of quality inspection and test procedures; participate in internal quality audits. - Support the implementation of corrective actions, ensuring they meet or exceed quality and reliability targets and that documentation is compliant with relevant standards. - Carry out root cause analyses and corrective action processes on nonconformities; engage in continuous improvement projects. - Compile and present reports to support internal and customer-facing operations. Special Project: - Using PowerBI, develop and implement key performance indicator (KPI) dashboards for critical processes. These metrics will be designed to provide actionable insights for key stakeholders and drive targeted improvements within the organization. Qualifications - Basic: - Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an Engineering degree program (or related technical field). - Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings. - Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel or similar data processing applications for analyzing and driving actions from data. Qualifications - Preferred: - Exposure to electromechanical products (through academic projects or extracurricular activities). - Familiarity with a variety of manufacturing processes such as molding, machining, welding, or assembly. - Strong project management and organizational skills. - Understanding of electronic/electrical specifications and standards, including both commercial and military requirements. **Candidate skills & requirements** This position requires access to information and hardware subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
