Server System Validation Technician

Location: Position is 100% onsite in Austin 7171 Southwest Pkwy Bldg 200 Austin, Tx. 78735 JOB DUTIES: Responsible for post-silicon lab activities related to System Validation of x86-64 architecture. The following is a list of key responsibilities that the candidate will assume: + Setup and configure x86 platforms + Develop and Execute Server System Validation Test plans (Operating Systems, Virtualization Environment, System Stress Applications) + Support lab debug activities. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: + Associates or Bachelor degree in Electronics/Computer Engineering or Computer Science preferred, but not a requirement + At least 3 years of relevant work experience. + Good understanding of x86 and Server System Architecture, Operating Systems, Device Drivers, and BIOS ACPI + Experience with Scripting and Server Automation Tools (Ruby, Python, Perl, Ansible, Jenkins, ...) + Strong analytical/problem solving skills and pronounced attention to detail + Strong interpersonal and communication skills + Preferred OS requirements (install, set-up, configure and troubleshoot) MS Windows OS, Linux OS. X86 SW, Virtualization (VMware, Xen, KVM) + Strong understanding of Virtualization environments including SRIOV (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V, Xen) + Strong teamwork and communication skills + Good organizational skills to plan, prioritize and manage assigned workload, and to efficiently execute multiple projects at the same time.
