The AE will work within their Value Stream, supporting all products within, as well as collaborate with other value streams to provide ideal customer solutions.The AE is to ensure they are aligned with our vision of making aerospace safe & sustainable through superior products & services, and is engaged in working towards our mission of becoming bigger and better by working on our six key strategic objectives:Defend & Grow existing business by improving our service & fulfillmentValue stream growth & innovationGlobal replication, fleet management & alignmentElevate safety & sustainability culture to aviation requirementsAchieve excellence through a relentless pursuit of marginal gains in everything we doAdopt intent-based leadership principlesAn Aerospace Application Engineer will utilize all tools within their means to recommend superior products and services.Tasks and Responsibilities: Liaise with external customers and Trelleborg resources to propose solutions based on customer requirementsConfirm the technical feasibility of customer projectsAssurance of alignment to processes; Product Life Cycle Management, Customer Relationship Management, Project Management Process, Design process and otherWork within agreed and published Consensus of DesignsSupport sales in seeking new customer opportunitiesSubmit customer product design requests to the GVSM and product design engineersPrepare technical items for customer proposal; drawings, presentations, and inspection diagrams or sketchesInterpret technical data including modeling, FEA or testing results and report to customerProvide technical assistance to customers and sales personnelPrepare and present aerospace product, material and service training to customersSupport sales in the execution of strategic and tactical plans to drive revenueProvide technical support for trouble shooting, analysis in an effort to resolve field performance problemsMaintain technical knowledge of both internal and external products, materials and servicesAssist in commercial and marketing activities are requested by GVSM; trade shows, symposiums, forums, etcSupport quality and manufacturing in root cause and corrective action effortsEducation and Experience: Bachelors degree in engineering1 years of within application or product design engineer rolesProficiency in solid modeling; Unigraphics NX6 or higher, CATIA (moderate)Knowledge in Finite Elemement Analysis tools and prediction preferred (beginner)Proficiency in Team Center or similar product life cycle management toolsKnowledge of aerospace elastomer and plastic product applications preferred; hydraulics & actuation, airframe & structures, engine, interiorsKnowledge of plastic and elastomer materials characteristics preferredKnowledge of plastic and elastomer manufacturing processes preferredProficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint requiredCompetencies: Self-motivatedStrong technical aptitude and learning abilityProficient oral/written communication skillsExcellent organization skillsAbility to analyze, interpret and communicate technical conceptsTravel: 20-30% per yearApplication: Last Application Date 4/17/2026As an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran or disability status.This position requires the use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
