As a designated Employer of National Service, our core value is a commitment to public service.Role: Part-Time Facilities Management Subject Matter Expert (SME)Duration: Approximately 4-6 monthsEstimated Time Commitment: 8-15 hours per monthLocation: Preference for Milwaukee / Southeastern Wisconsin (hybrid participation)Facilities Management Subject Matter Expert (SME)M Powered Strategies (MPS) is seeking a senior Facilities Management leader to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in support of a public-sector organizational redesign engagement. The SME will provide operational insight, peer benchmarking perspective, and structural feasibility testing to support a facilitated assessment and future-state organizational design process for a county Facilities Management Division. This is not an operational leadership role. The SME will not manage facilities or staff directly. Instead, they will serve in a part-time advisory capacity alongside a facilitation team, contributing senior-level facilities expertise throughout the project lifecycle. The engagement focuses on modernizing Operations & Maintenance (O&M) structure within a complex public-sector facilities portfolio that includes justice/public safety facilities, health and human services buildings, and other 24/7 operations. The project will assess current maturity, develop future-state organizational options, and produce a sequenced implementation roadmap.
