Job Title: Purchasing Analyst Job Description The Purchasing Analyst is primarily responsible for managing all aspects of procurement for products, components, and supplies. Essential Skills * Strong negotiation skills and analytical abilities. * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. * Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP * Knowledge of purchasing processes, sourcing strategies, contract basics, and supply chain fundamentals. * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with attention to detail and accuracy. * Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and build effective relationships with suppliers and internal departments. * Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and handle confidential information. Additional Skills & Qualifications * 2-4+ years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or a related role. * A degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field is preferred. Responsibilities * Maintain vendor relationships, evaluating bids and price changes, negotiating contracts and terms, issuing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies. * Analyze spend data, purchase history, market trends, and supplier pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities, potential risks, and areas for process improvement. * Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to assess capabilities, pricing competitiveness, quality, reliability, and compliance with organizational standards. * Support contract negotiations by preparing data analysis, cost comparisons, and recommendations for favorable terms, pricing, and service levels. * Monitor inventory levels, purchase orders, and supplier delivery performance; track key metrics such as on-time delivery, cost variance, and supplier performance. * Perform regular audits of purchasing processes, vendor relationships, and transactional data to identify inefficiencies or non-compliance issues. * Track and report on procurement KPIs, savings achieved, spend analysis, and compliance; prepare periodic reports for management review. * Support continuous improvement initiatives in purchasing processes and automation. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lake in the Hills, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $43.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
