Welders prepare parts for builders and clean finished products before shipment. Welders must be able to read and understand build documents and drawings for fabrication. Welders are assigned to a specific area in the manufacturing plant but may also work with other departments. Welders may perform other tasks as needed.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesTIG and MIG weld metal components togetherPrepare parts for buildersWork with build documents and basic drawingsMaintain a clean and organized workspace/shopClean finished productsDeburr and silicon materialsPeel paperExperience and Education:High School or GED1 - 3 months related experience and/or trainingPosition Requirements:Knowledge of proper welding techniques, such as TIG and MIG weldingMechanically inclined; ability to work with shop machinery and basic hand toolsAbility to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16th of an inchAbility to add and subtract fractionsCommunicates well with others; asks for and offers help when neededDetail oriented; meets quality standards and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughnessOrganized; completes work in a timely manner; able to prioritize and meet deadlinesProblem-solver; gathers and analyzes information skillfully and generates suggestions for improving workCapable of working independently and as a member of a team; contributes to building a positive team spiritObserves and follows safety procedures Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
