Description The Corporate Relations Coordinator is responsible for fulfilling funding needs of Milwaukee PBS by identifying, cultivating and soliciting underwriting support, primarily from corporations, corporate foundations and association prospects. Works with Milwaukee PBS staff to ensure contract deliverables are achieved effectively with each corporate partner. Responsible for managing an assigned portfolio, conducting prospect research, and seeking affinity through networking and appointments to develop relationships that lead to solicitation. Reports directly to Chief Development Officer; works closely with all Milwaukee PBS leaders, particularly related to specific funding needs and deliverables. Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities Drive accelerated underwriting growth by achieving strategic goals that align with Milwaukee PBS' mission, through making direct calls and identifying opportunities which develop new business that supports operations, production and activities.Drive strategic identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship strategies for aportfolio of corporate donors.Develop strong funding presentations/proposals and supporting marketing materials (budgets, timelines, and images) to drive revenue growth with existing and new corporate partners. Conduct ongoing market research to determine programming opportunities to maximize the investment and interest of corporate partners.Manage an active calendar to meet proposal and contract deadlines. Effectively reporton corporate partnership activities.Maintain accurate and detailed records in database to track activities and deliverables, and implement a system for moves management.Build and sustain effective relationships within the business community. Ensure regular communications (in-person, written and verbal) with current partners and prospects. Develop a strong sense of Milwaukee PBS and PBS to know how to recruitsponsorship for various projects.Develop and maintain strong knowledge of FCC guidelines as they relate to non-profit media underwriting announcements to ensure on-air scripts are in compliance with current regulations.Create underwriting copy, enter underwriting contracts, schedule underwritingannouncements and ensure associated administration processes are operating effectively. Manage corporate support annual budget and forecasting. Establish aggressive annual and multi-year goals.Work cross-departmentally to identify ongoing and potential projects suitable for funding. Continually educate and update internal partners about opportunities and what's required to achieve funding.Work cross-departmentally to understand and describe projects and budgets, and to ensure contract deliverables and budgets are achieved.Work collaboratively with Major Giving and Grant Writing areas to maximize potential for corporate support.Help advance a culture of philanthropy within the organization.Special projects and other duties, as assigned Qualifications Compliance with all state, federal, and accreditation standards/requirements, as well as all MATC policies and procedures.Required Education: Associate degree with a focus in media, communications, marketing, public relations or business.Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in related field.Required Experience: With Associate degree: Three (3) years of experience in corporate partnerships and support.With Bachelor's degree: One (1) year of experience in corporate partnerships and support.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESKnowledge of market and prospect research experience and familiarity with online research tools.Functional knowledge of how to develop funding presentations, proposals and budgets.Knowledge and experience in a nonprofit fundraising setting, public media.Knowledge of the local business community and business leaders, as well as their current interests and guidelines.Excellent written and verbal skillsExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to work both independently and in a team environment.Excellent project management skills, attention to detail and analytical abilities. Motivated and creative self-starter.Experience managing a prospect portfolio with revenue expectations.Experience in using a prospect management database, Allegiance a plus.Ability and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google programs (Gmail, Google calendar, Google Drive/Docs).Ability to develop funding presentations, proposals and budgets.Able to be committed and enthusiastic about the mission, programs and services of Milwaukee PBS.Ability to demonstrate success in acquisition and fulfillment of corporate funding.Ability to cultivate strong, positive relationships, work effectively in a collaborative environment.Ability to create annual and multi-year work plans to achieve revenue goals.Available to travel locally to meet funders and prospects. Hours are Monday through Friday from 9am - 5:00pm. Upon selection, the dental insurance plan coverage begins the first of the month following start date. Annual maximum per covered person is $2,500; plan covers preventive, routine, restoration, and has an orthodontic benefit for dependents up to age 19.Vision Insurance MATC offers a group vision plan through Superior Vision..Upon selection, the vision insurance plan coverage begins the first of the month following start date. Plan covers eye exam, frames, lenses and contact lenses.Group Life Insurance MATC offers group term life insurance benefits through Madison National Life Insurance Company effective the first of the month of start date and is fully paid for by the College. The amount of insurance is based upon the employee's annual earnings rounded to the higher $1,000.00. The benefit is doubled in the event of accidental death. Supplemental Life Insurance is also available at group rates for employees, spouses, and dependents to purchase. Long-Term Disability MATC offers long-term disability insurance through Madison National Life Company after 30 days of employment and is fully paid for by the College. Benefits provided are equal to 66 2/3% of base monthly earnings.Flexible Spending Accounts MATC offers two types of Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA): Health Care FSA Dependent Care FSA This type of benefit allows employees to set aside pre-tax dollars per calendar year for a variety of medical, dental, and vision expenses (for a Health Care FSA) and for day care expenses for children under 13 or family members that are dependent on you for more than half their support (for a Dependent Care FSA) up to a maximum amount.Retirement Savings Regular full-time employees of MATC who are hired for greater than 12 months become members of the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS)'s pension system as of day one of employment. The College currently pays the full cost of the employer contribution (6.9%), and the employee pays the full part of the employee contribution of 6.9% of salary. There is a five year vesting period requirement in order to qualify for any employer contributions made on the employee's behalf.
