Operations Manager (2nd Shift)This position will provide leadership and guidance to ensure customer satisfaction expectations are exceeded. A key focus of the role will be to enforce compliance standards and requirements, while ensuring all customer services are timely, and quality expectations are met for the upcoming launch of our second shift operations. The OM will be the driver in creating and maintaining a safe work culture with focus on behavioral training. Will be a champion of ensuring company KPIs are achieved (Safety, Quality, Cost, Downtime, Productivity, and Employee Engagement).Department: Consolidation Center/OperationsReports to: Operations Sr ManagerSchedule: Monday-Friday, 2nd Shift (Expected from 2:00 PM-10:30 PM) (Rotating weekends and overtime may be required) (Schedule is subject to change based on production requirements)Location: Onsite, Ellabell, GA 31308 (Must have the ability to commute within the neighboring facilities for meetings, events, etc.)Please be advised that all 2nd Shift personnel will be trained during 1st Shift hours (6:00 AM-3:00 PM) until transitioning to 2nd Shift hours starting in Spring 2026.Responsibilities for an Operations Manager:Monitor and manage KPIs, reporting on 15 KPI subjects monthlySupervise assistant managers and supervisors to ensure smooth operationsManage CC JIT/JIS part inventory, shipping, and locationCoordinate and oversee various functions such as repackaging, recycling, 1-Kit and T/W line operationsDirect and manage floor and sub-contractor staffEstablish and implement standard operating procedures for CC operationsTrain employees on SOPs, safety procedures, processes, and attendance policiesOptimize warehouse layout and improve efficiencySchedule and manage manpower and overtime. Champion development of team members for success and future growth.Review timecards and submit employees' timecards for payroll processingAnalyze/Enforce company policies and procedures to ensure a standard and fair work environmentMust drive a positive Safety Culture. Plant Champion to ensure team members are following company safety rules. Prepare and manage departmental budgetsReport all operational issues to COO, including analysis and recommendationsImplement 5S and Lean manufacturing principles to streamline operationsSchedule and lead weekly meetings to discuss operations issuesManage SAP, GCS, JIS operations, and system improvementOther duties as assignedQualifications for an Operations Manager:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent combination of experience and education.Minimum of 10 years of Operations Management experience in a fast past manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, or distribution environment (preferably in automotive) is required for this role.Shipping, Receiving, Inventory, and Sequencing experience is required.Kitting and JIT/JIS experience is highly preferred.Proven successful track record leading a team of 100+ direct/indirect reports in a large logistics/manufacturing environment preferred.Ability to use Microsoft Office suite. Excellent written and oral communication in English Operations management system experience highly preferred. Database management system experienceMust be able to direct work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to adapt to change. Must possess strong critical thinking, problem-solving ability, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.Physical Demands for an Operations Manager:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is generally required to spend long periods of time sitting, typing, and working at a computer. May require the ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds and transport items. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that GLOVIS EA reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting.
