The position works closely with the Branch Manager in preparingand organizing the completion of daily work and the management of the Technicaland Marketing Departments.The Manager in Training must have excellent management skills such as problemsolving, communication, leadership, time management and team building. Everytask contributes towards the overall goal of delivering a great service to ourcustomers, by a well-trained staff of lawn technicians in a timely and cost-effectivemanner.Responsibilities and DutiesEnsures a safe workplace is provided for all employees by ongoing trainingand adherence to company policiesQuality Control compliance to ensure service standards are met according tocompany policyPlan and conduct new hire and on-going training for lawn service personnelin customer service skills, technical skills, safety policies and proceduresEffectively coach, train and develop future leaders within department Work with administration and management team to facilitate recruiting,interviewing and selecting the best talent that fits our company cultureDaily, Weekly and Monthly tracking of all goals established in the BusinessPlanManage progressive discipline and accountability standards consistent withcompany policyConduct Performance ReviewsEffectively partner with your peers as a resource to help in their goalachievementsConduct Daily and Weekly Production department meetingsConduct Pre/Post trip vehicle inspectionsEnsures current licensing is maintained by all department employees asrequired by company policy/State and/or Federal lawHelp Recruit and train Door Knockers for our Marketing SeasonKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesExcellent leadership skills in team building, selecting talent, training,mentoring, executing goals and developing future leadersExcellent time management skillsPractical knowledge of lawn service industry and experience in developingand executing production plansAbility to communicate effectively at all levels of leadership and with frontline staffAbility to have difficult conversationsGreat Self-AwarenessMechanical aptitude a plus, but not requiredBusiness process analysis skillsComputer skills with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook,PowerPoint)Education and Experience RequirementsHave 1-2 or more years of related experience inlawn/horticulture/agronomy/lawn care services preferred, or an equivalentcombination of education and experienceCertificates, Licenses and registrations as required by federal and state law.Must possess or obtain as a requirement.
