Upon request, reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Responsible for Engineering Calculations and Plan DevelopmentLeads other Designers and Engineers on a Project Team, maintaining effective communication with project team members, other departments, suppliers and clientsCollects and prepares data/information and performs detailed engineering calculationsSpecifies power system equipment, switchgear, unit substations, motor control centers, drive systems, grounding systems, and lighting systemsCreate electrical load studies, control schematics, and electrical engineering detailsUtilizes computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasksAssists in field work by directing and coordinating operation, checking installations, problem solving, maintenance and repair of equipment and systemsServes as a Project Lead for single discipline projects by estimating work hours, developing scope of work, making staff recommendations, and checking drawingsMaintains compliance with all policies, procedures, and standardsObserves safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properlyAccepts other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSBachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET Accredited University is required, PE preferredField experienceTwelve (12) to Thirty (30) years working in one or more of the following service areas: Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Polymers, Utility, Energy, and ManufacturingKnowledgeable in protective relaying and short circuit studies, lighting systems, power systems equipment specifications, NFPA 30, NEC or NFPA 70, applicable building codes, arc flash, hazardous area classifications for process industries, and wiring practicesProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), Revit, and AutoCAD (3D preferred), EasyPower or similar modeling software.Experience with P & IDs, PFDs, loop diagrams, installation details, conduit and cable schedulesELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTSAuthorize a background investigation, including verification of past employment, criminal history, and educational backgroundSubmit to a drug test post offerPossess a valid drivers licenseAccepts that this position may require some domestic overnight travelMust be willing and able to commute to office location at least 3 days per weekMust be able to collaborate with others in an on-site, team environmentMust have reliable, consistent, and punctual work-site attendanceMust be able to utilize the required technology such as computers, phones, and tablets to complete job dutiesMust be an organized, self-starterMust be organized and able to independently manage time effectivelyMust be able to handle varying workloads and the variable stress-levels associated with said workloadMust be able to meet quality and productivity standards required by the company
