Facilities Maintenance/Landscaper

The Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas is the Catholic Church in Northeast Kansas: Growing as Disciples of Jesus; Making Disciples for Jesus. The Savior Pastoral Center is seeking a Facilities Maintenance/Landscaper. This position will assist with a variety of custodial, maintenance and landscaping tasks for the Savior Pastoral Center. The position is part-time, seasonal, primarily in Spring and Summer, averaging 20-25 hours per week. Duties and Responsibilities:Clean facility following a regimen of custodial tasks, including cleaning and dusting all furniture, toilets, sinks and washes windows as needed. Assist the groundskeeper with upkeep of lawn care including mowing, landscaping, trimming shrubs and trees and driveway maintenance as needed. Set up all meeting rooms including tables, chairs, and audiovisual equipment as specified. Provide water service and ice for groups upon request. Complete minor maintenance tasks such as painting, changing light bulbs, unclogging toilets, and other activities as requested. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Strong custodial skills including the ability to keep aware of all areas needing attention.Knowledge and ability to resolve minor maintenance issues.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Must have good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills including the ability to prioritize tasks.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalent required.Experience with similar duties and responsibilities is helpful.Practicing Catholic in good standing is preferred.
