Position SummaryThe Scrap Scale Associate inspects, grades, and purchases non-ferrous materials while creating a positive, customer-focused experience for those delivering materials. This role records purchase transactions, maintains inventory records, and supports the team with packaging and shipping materials to fulfill sales orders. ScheduleMonday - Saturday (5-Day: Rotating Schedule)1st ShiftResponsibilitiesInteract with customers regarding the purchase of their materialsWeigh and inspect all incoming non-ferrous customer scrapIdentify and sort materials, removing and/or upgrading when possibleInput and record transaction data in computer systemOperate hi-lo, loader and/or manual processing equipment as neededMaintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulationsInventory and ship material as neededQualifications Six months operating small equipment experience preferredGood interpersonal and customer service skillsAbility to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAccuracy in operation and attention to detailKnowledge in inventory controlPADNOS has a rich history of taking care of ourTeamMembers, their families and the multiple communities we serve.
