We are seeking a Part-Time Pilot Training Instructor based in the Orlando area to support our pilot training program. This role is responsible for Initial and Recurrent Company indoctrination training to Northern Jet pilots, ensuring compliance, standardization, and operational excellence. This is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned pilot who enjoys mentoring, teaching, and contributing to a high-performing flight department while maintaining schedule flexibility.This is a part-time position based in our Orlando, Florida location. Schedule: part-time position with a maximum of 30 hours per week. Flexible scheduling based on training needs and instructor availability. Responsibilities:Conduct initial and recurrent training for Northern Jet pilots in accordance with company policies and FAA requirementsReinforce Northern Jet standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety culture, and professionalismSupport the Training Department with additional training and compliance-related initiatives, including audits, documentation, and program updatesAssist with training materials, course content updates, and standardization initiativesCollaborate with the Director of Operations, Training Department, and HR as neededProvide constructive feedback and evaluations to support pilot developmentPerforms other duties as assignedRequired Skills/Abilities: Must reside in or near Orlando, FLMinimum 5+ years of professional pilot experience flying under Part 91 and/or Part 135Part 135 operational experience requiredPrior experience as a training instructor, check airman, or mentor pilot preferredFamiliarity with adult learning principles and instructional best practices requiredStrong knowledge of FAA regulations, company training standards, and best practicesExcellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skillsHigh level of professionalism with a safety-first mindsetAbility to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teamsEducation and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent requiredBachelor's degree in Aviation, Aeronautical Science, or a related field preferredMinimum 5+ years of professional pilot experience flying under Part 91 and/or Part 135Part 135 operational experience requiredPrior experience supporting pilot training, standardization, compliance, or safety programs preferredStrong working knowledge of FAA regulations, training requirements, and compliance standardsPhysical Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, and move about office, classroom, simulator, and hangar environmentsAbility to lift and carry materials or equipment up to 25 poundsAbility to operate computers, tablets, and training-related technologyAbility to communicate clearly in person, over the phone, and via video conferencingVisual and auditory acuity sufficient to conduct training, review documentation, and observe pilot performanceWhy Northern Jet?Work on a prestigious fleet of private aircraft in a clean, well-equipped facilityJoin a tight-knit, experienced team who values precision and professionalismBe part of a growing organization where your expertise is recognized and respectedEnjoy stability, and competitive payYour Career.
