This role plays a vital part in supporting our field operations by ensuring that our fleet of heavy equipment and trucks remains safe, reliable, and fully operational.You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of diesel-powered vehicles and heavy machinery used on major infrastructure projects, including bridges, highways, and large-scale concrete construction. When you join Baseline, you become part of a team that values craftsmanship, accountability, and year-round stability.Learn more at: Key ResponsibilitiesInspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and mechanical components on heavy equipment and fleet vehiclesPerform preventative maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtimeRepair or replace engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering systems, and suspension componentsTroubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including starters, alternators, lighting, and control modulesConduct routine equipment inspections and maintain accurate service and repair documentationCoordinate with field crews to prioritize and complete equipment repairs efficientlyWeld and fabricate parts as needed for equipment repairs and modificationsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environmentFollow all company safety policies and contribute to a strong culture of workplace safetyQualificationsMinimum of 3 years of experience working on heavy duty or diesel-powered equipment preferredStrong working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and heavy equipment systemsAbility to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and diagnostic informationExperience with preventative maintenance programsWelding and fabrication skills are a plusStrong troubleshooting ability and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPhysically capable of lifting heavy components and working in both shop and field environmentsValid driver's license requiredTechnical certifications or formal training are a plusBenefitsWeekly PayMedical, Dental, Vision, and Life InsuranceRetirement Savings ProgramPaid Time OffSafety Equipment ProvidedPaid Training and Manufacturer CertificationsPrevailing Wage Projects (when applicable)Stable, year-round employmentWork ScheduleFull-TimeMonday through FridayOvertime as required based on project demandsWork LocationShop located in Coplay, PAPrimarily shop-based with occasional field service at local job sites as neededEqual Employment Opportunity (EEO) StatementWe are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
