We are recognized nationally as one of the nations' most established and experienced participants in the fixed income markets.The Opportunity:We are actively recruiting for an experienced junior trader to join our IG trading desk in New York. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success combined with well-established industry relationships. We are looking for someone that is ambitious and enthusiastic about implementing new trading ideas, concepts combined with a demonstrated ability to operate within established trading risk parameters.Responsibilities:Successfully manage own trading book and Mesirow's capitalIdentify trading opportunities and present relative value ideasAbility to make markets and provide liquidity to customer baseMaintain good relationship with clients and broker dealer communityRequirements:Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.3+ years' experience trading investment grade credit from either buy side or sell side.Knowledge of codingA demonstrated track record of successful trading combined with established relationships.Series licensed (7 & 63).Entrepreneurial, creative and ability to generate trade ideas.Ability to work with both salesforce and client base.To ensure compliance with the NY Pay Transparency Law, anticipated hiring base salary for the role will be between $80,000 and $100,000 per year.
