POSITION TITLE: Senior Enterprise Applications EngineerDEPARTMENT: Information TechnologyREPORTS TO: Director of Enterprise ApplicationsLOCATION: Secaucus, NJJOB TYPE: Full-Time, HybridPOSITION SUMMARY:We are seeking a senior, hands-on Enterprise Applications Engineer to serve as the technical owner and Tier-3 escalation point for our Shopify Plus ecommerce platform and its integrations with enterprise systems. This role will lead the Salesforce Commerce Cloud to Shopify Plus replatform from an integration and interoperability standpoint, then transition into senior ownership, cross-training, and escalation support across the enterprise application landscape.PRIMARY FOCUS AREAS:Senior technical ownership of the Shopify Plus implementation, including all enterprise integrationsTier-3 escalation for complex, cross-system production issuesKnowledge transfer, cross-training, and long-term platform stabilityKEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Shopify Plus Implementation & OwnershipServe as senior technical owner for the Salesforce Commerce Cloud → Shopify Plus replatform from an enterprise integration perspective.Design, build, and debug Shopify Plus integrations across ERP, OMS, POS, financial systems, and downstream analytics platforms.Own production stability during cutover and post-launch, acting as Tier-3 escalation for cross-system incidents.Enterprise Integrations & Ongoing SupportShare responsibility with the development and integrations team for existing enterprise integrations beyond Shopify.Build and maintain APIs, middleware, automation, and backfills supporting enterprise workflows.Partner closely with the Enterprise Applications Support team to ensure clean escalation paths and durable fixes.Data, BI & Analytics PartnershipWork closely with BI & Analytics to validate data flows, reconcile system-of-record discrepancies, and remediate upstream integration issues.Use SQL-based analysis to ensure operational and financial data accuracy across systems.Team Enablement & EscalationServe as the senior escalation point for complex integration and platform issues.Cross-train development, integration, and support teams on Shopify Plus integrations and enterprise patterns.Establish documentation, standards, and repeatable support models to reduce single-point-of-failure risk.ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:Required QualificationsDemonstrated, hands-on experience with Shopify Plus, including production integrations with ERP, OMS, POS, or financial systems.Senior-level experience building and supporting enterprise integrations using APIs and event-driven architectures.Strong SQL skills for data validation, reconciliation, and debugging across systems of record.Strong experience with Python for integrations, automation, backfills, and data processing.Experience acting as an escalation point for production incidents involving multiple systems.Preferred QualificationsExperience with .NET in ERP environments (e.g., BlueCherry or similar).Retail, ecommerce, or omnichannel business experience.Experience working alongside external agencies during platform implementations.Experience working with dbt and modern ELT/data transformation tools (e.g., dbt Cloud, Fivetran, Airflow or similar), including supporting and troubleshooting downstream analytics and data models.Role ClarifiersThis is not a frontend or Shopify theme/Liquid-only role.This is not a helpdesk or Tier-1 support role.This is an individual contributor role with no people management responsibilities.BENEFITS:$160,000 - $180,000 base salary (This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this NJ - based position.
