Billing Clerk

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Billing Clerk in construction to join our team. Key Responsibilities:Prepare and process progress billings, AIA invoices, time-and-material billings, and change ordersReview contracts to ensure billing aligns with agreed terms and conditionsTrack job costs, retainage, lien waivers, and certified payroll as requiredVerify labor, materials, and subcontractor costs for billing accuracySubmit invoices to clients and follow up on payment statusAssist with month-end close, accounts receivable reporting, and audit requestsCoordinate with project managers regarding billing schedules and discrepanciesEnsure compliance with company policies and construction industry regulationsMaintain organized billing records and project documentationPreferred Qualifications:Experience as a Billing Clerk in constructionFamiliarity with construction billing methods (AIA, progress billing, retainageProficiency in accounting or construction software (e.g., Sage, Procore, Viewpoint, QuickBooksStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsBasic understanding of accounting principlesAbility to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExperience working with multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent knowledge of MS Office, Wor,d and ExcelStrong communication skills, both written and verbalPhysical demands:This position is primarily sedentary and performed in a professional office environment. The employee must be able to remain seated for extended periods, operate a computer and other office equipment, and perform repetitive motions such as typing and mouse use. The role may occasionally require standing, walking, bending, and lifting light office supplies up to 15 pounds.
