Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations._ **Responsibilities:** Contributes to scientific analysis of data generated by multiple research projects using a variety of software applications. Responsible for data analysis, data harmonization, results presentation, script writing, and outreach. Prepares, maintains, curates and analyzes data from high-throughput sequencing (HTS) projects and other projects that generate clinical and complement "omics" or other high dimensional data. Provides standard bioinformatics analyses such as unsupervised clustering, differential expression, and data visualization. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS** **Data Preparation & Management, and Interpretation** + Prepare, curate, harmonize, and maintain datasets from clinical studies to support the design, analysis and modling of modeling projects and results. + Maintain and execute computational pipelines for processing high-dimensional biomedical data **Bioinformatics Analysis** + Conduct bioinformatics and statistical analyses including clustering, differential expression analysis, and data visualization. + Research and support statistical approaches such as mixed-effects models, time-to-event models, and other models for disease progression modeling. **Research Collaboration & Communications** + Work with investigators and analytics staff to support study design, analytical strategy, and interpretation of results. + Prepare reports, figures, and presentations summarizing analytical results for research teams. + Other duties as assigned **MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE** + Bachelor's degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, statistics, data science, genomics, or a related quantitative field, and one year of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. + Experience working with, curating, analyzing, and modeling large datasets in bioinformatics, using scripting or statistical programming languages (e.g., Python, R, related tools) required + Experience working in a biomedical or clinical research environment on healthcare/medical/clinical research data, including genomics data preferred **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES** **Programming and Data Analysis** + Proficiency in programming or statistical languages used for data analysis (e.g., R or Python); familiarity with additional languages such as Perl, Java, or C++ is a plus. + Experience performing statistical analysis and data manipulation using R or similar analytical tools. + Ability to develop scripts or prototype software solutions to support data analysis workflows. **Database and Computing** + Familiarity with database querying using Structured Query Language (SQL). + Basic knowledge of web development or data interface tools is desirable. **Bioinformatics Tools** + Experience or familiarity with next-generation sequencing (NGS) analysis tools, such as STAR, TopHat, DESeq2, BWA, GATK, or related bioinformatics software.
