JOB SUMMARYWorks under minimal supervision to: (a) coordinate day-to-day management of compliance investigation processes and investigations database; (b) conduct research and provide support for the Office of Compliance on various regulatory and policy matters; (c) gather and synthesize meeting materials for oversight committees and other work groups; (d) provides content and subject matter expertise to advance the awareness, training and education initiatives of the Office of Compliance. Work Schedule: This position is mostly remote and candidate must reside in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex to attend meetings, etc. as needed.EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONRequiredEducationBachelor's Degree in business or healthcare administration, regulatory compliance, consulting, project management, or related area. Experience5 years of experience with complex regulatory and compliance environments. PreferredLicenses and Certifications(CHC) CERTIFIED HEALTHCARE COMPLIANCE or similar certification or credential JOB DUTIESCoordinates day-to-day management of compliance investigation process including: a) Evaluates concerns/issues reported and assigns cases to the appropriate investigating office; b) Ensures timely resolution and complete documentation of investigations; c) Responds to data requests under the Freedom of Information Act or in regards to potential/actual litigation; d) Maintains a database of all reported compliance issues/concerns/allegations and e) Ensures metrics are accurate, monitored, and reported to mgmt. regularly, at least monthly.Coordinates with or assists the Manager and/or Compliance Officer in preparing status and operational monitoring reports for senior management and Compliance Committees. Compiles data and analyzes for accuracy; identifies any trends or issues and brings to Manager's attention. (ECC packet, etc.)Coordinates, participates in, or executes compliance audits and due diligence activities, as assigned, to thoroughly review specific functional areas of the organization for compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.Assists in the development, review, and update of policies and procedures. Proactively evaluates policies and procedures against regulatory requirements; submits recommendations for new policies; edits policies and procedures as needed to meet regulatory guidance.Conducts research, analyzes and interprets laws, regulations, guidelines, contracts, policies and procedures, and other resources/documentation in order to serve as a lead resource for online presence and compliance questions.As appropriate, conducts independent investigations. This includes developing and executing all phases of a plan of investigation including reviewing and analyzing data, information and records; conducting interviews; and drafting findings and conclusions.Creates or assists in the development of compliance or specialized departmental training relative to operational processes and/or compliance with laws and regulations, as needed.
