The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and integrity of all club facilities through expert painting, surface preparation, and finishing work. This position requires a high level of craftsmanship, safety consciousness, and a strong commitment to quality in a luxury environment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Surface Preparation:Thoroughly clean, scrape, sand, and prime surfaces prior to painting to ensure proper adhesion and a smooth finish. Identify and repair surface imperfections such as cracks, holes, and peeling paint.Painting and Finishing:Apply paints, stains, varnishes, lacquers, and other finishes on interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, sprayers, and other appropriate tools. Ensure even coverage and consistent color matching.Color Matching and Custom Finishes:Mix paints and stains to achieve desired colors and finishes, carefully matching existing colors for touch-ups and repairs.Detail Work:Use painter's tape, masking techniques, and precise brushwork for detailed areas, trim, moldings, fixtures, and delicate surfaces to ensure clean lines and professional appearance.Equipment and Tool Maintenance:Maintain, clean, and calibrate painting tools and equipment regularly. Report the need for repairs or replacements to management.Safety Practices:Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), proper handling of paints and chemicals, and safe working at heights or on ladders.Project Coordination:Collaborate with maintenance staff, facility managers, and other team members to prioritize tasks, coordinate schedules, and ensure timely completion of projects.Surface Protection:Cover furniture, fixtures, floors, and surrounding areas with drop cloths and masking tape to prevent overspray or splatters.Cleanup and Waste Disposal:Properly dispose of paint, solvents, and other materials in accordance with environmental regulations. Clean brushes, rollers, and equipment after each use.Touch-Ups and Repairs:Perform ongoing touch-ups and minor repairs to maintain the quality and appearance of painted surfaces throughout the club.Record Keeping:Maintain logs of work performed, materials used, and inspection notes for future reference and reporting.Assist with Additional Maintenance Tasks:Support other maintenance activities as needed, including minor carpentry, drywall repair, or other duties related to facility upkeep.COMPETENCIES - To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
