We are a teaching Oral Surgery practice, and pride ourselves on our intuitive training protocol. Rarely would you have to work past these hours. We believe strongly in supporting a healthy Work-Life Balance.Health benefits and other benefits paid (working 30 hours weekly)401k with up to 4% matchingBonusReferral ProgramMonthly staff appreciationAppreciation on your birthdayRESPONSIBILITIESGreet patients when they arrive at the practiceSchedule appointments for patients and referralsMaintain patient recordsSubmit patient claims to insurance companiesCompletes insurance verifications.Verify, update and enter patient information and patient insurance into the data system.Assist patients in filling out required intake and medical formsConfirm appointments with patients and ensure cancellations are filledManage and organize referralsInform patients of payment options if applicablePerform basic accounting tasks such as taking patient paymentsUpdate patient insurance informationEnsure all dental office equipment is functioning properlySort and organize incoming and outgoing mailEnsure reception area is maintained and professional in appearance.Patient hand-off to the Dental Assistant.Monitors patients' waiting times; takes appropriate action to resolve patient flow issues, acknowledges wait times with patients, and offers solutions to accommodate patients' needs.Partners with the Office team to ensure patients' visits exceed expectations.Update's treatment plan information in the company system at the direction of the treating Doctor; collects and posts patient payments.Educates patients on insurance benefits.Other duties as directed by supervisorRequirementsREQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONSDemonstrate a positive attitude in the face of difficult or challenging situationsHigh school or equivalent (Required).1-year Dental or Medical Office experience.Competency in Microsoft applications including Word and ExcelBackground check required. Possess a basic understanding of Dental Insurance, a plusKnowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and diagnosis is a plus.Knowledge of OMS Vision is a plusBi-lingual is a plus but not required.A GREAT PERSONALITY!This role is floating between our Wesley Chapel and Carrollwood Offices
