The City of Warrenville is accepting applications for our open Utility Maintenance Worker position!Position SummaryThis position, under the general supervision of the Utility Division Crew Leader, is responsible for assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of the components of the water and sanitary and sewer distribution systems of the City. The Utility Maintenance Worker performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled manual labor tasks including operation of a variety of equipment and vehicles. Specific work assignments are provided on a daily basis and may be rotated. Responsibilities also include assisting with all other Public Works duties as needed. Ability to be on call on a rotating schedule. Ability to respond to emergency call-outs. Ability to work in all types of extreme weather conditions. Special RequirementsMust be at least 18 years old with a valid IL Driver's License. Possess a valid CDL Class A driver's license with appropriate endorsements, or possession within six (6) months of hire. Possess a State of Illinois Class D Water Operator Certification or a comparable certification acceptable to the State of Illinois within twelve (12) months of employment.Possess a State of Illinois Class C Water Operator Certification or a comparable certification acceptable to the State of Illinois within a timeframe established by the City.
