We provide strategic communications services to a diverse range of clients, with a focus on center-right and conservative policy and political communities. We are seeking a highly skilled, full-time Director of Media Relations to join our growing team.Position OverviewThe Director of Media Relations will lead national media engagement strategies for corporate, policy, nonprofit, and political clients. This role requires deep media relationships, strong writing skills, and the ability to execute high-impact media campaigns in a fast-paced environment.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute strategic media relations campaigns for corporate, policy, nonprofit, and political clientsOrganize and manage major media events and secure high-profile media placementsBuild and maintain strong relationships with reporters, editors, producers, and booking teamsPitch op-eds and manage media interview coordinationServe as a senior-level media strategist for clients across issue areasQualifications & ExperienceMinimum of 5 years of national media relations experienceEstablished and current broadcast media relationshipsStrong ties to center-right and conservative policy communitiesExceptional writing skills with a demonstrated record of successful media placementsSelf-starter who excels both independently and as part of a collaborative teamBackground in Capitol Hill, political campaigns, think tanks, PACs, or nonprofit organizations preferredWillingness to work in person at the Old Town Alexandria office, with periodic travelSalary & BenefitsGenerous paid leave, including parental leaveSubstantial monthly healthcare contributionEmployer contributions to retirement plansClient acquisition commissionsFlexible working expectations with reasonable "on-call" hours around holidays and weekends
