"Quality In Everything We Do" is far more than our mantra, it is our standard!!Explore a career with A & Associates, one of the leading providers for temporary, temp-to-hire, permanent placement services and security guard services.Job Summary:The Driver Helper teams with Route Driver and assists in the collection of Waste and /or Recyclable material.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Works in accordance with Waste Management Safety and Life Critical Rules, OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act) requirements as well as all local, state and federal lawsImmediately reports all unsafe situations or service related issues to Route Manager or DispatchAttends and participates in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings as required by Waste Management or directed by the Route ManagerManually or mechanically load and empty residential and/or commercial containers into truckContainers maybe staged curbside, dockside, carryout, or require pullout to complete serviceOperates hoisting device to lift and empty bins or containers into truck hopperAssists driver with all backing maneuvers while on routeNotifies Route Manager of any incidents, accidents, injures, or property damageNotifies Route Manager or Dispatch of service interruptions including closed or impassable streets or alleyways, receptacles too heavy to service or potential safety hazardsCommunicates customer requests to Dispatch or Route ManagerQualifications:Must have less than 1 year of previous experience in the fieldMust be at least 18 years of ageLegally eligible to work in the United StatesSuccessfully complete pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check, which will include previous employment check, and criminal historyAbility to work in fast paced, team environmentWork Environment:Required to use motor coordination with arm, hand, finger, and leg dexterityRequired to exert physical effort in handling objects more than 25 pounds frequentlyRequires pushing, pulling, bending, twisting and lifting up to 70 lbsNormal setting for this job is outdoors and/or riding in a video/GPS monitored vehicleWill be exposed to a physical environment, which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements most of the workday
