Position Summary: The Residential Operations Director provides comprehensive operational leadership for the residential substance use treatment programs of the Seattle Indian Health Board and Thunderbird Treatment Center. This position is responsible for ensuring that daily operations reflect and integrate the organization's mission, core values, and philosophy of care, with a primary focus on persons served and their families. The Director oversees staffing, budgeting, compliance, information management, safety, and strategic planning to ensure high-quality, culturally responsive, and compliant treatment services. Organizational Structure/Reporting Relationships: This position reports to the Chief Operations Officer (COO) and supervises all residential operations staff. Job Responsibilities * Provide high-level leadership for all residential programs, ensuring cohesive operations and alignment with SIHB values and strategic priorities. * Oversee daily program functioning, crisis response systems, service coordination, and adherence to trauma-centered practices. * Ensure programs meet or exceed all regulatory requirements, including state/local laws. * Oversee implementation of internal quality improvement systems, audits, corrective actions, and ongoing improvements to documentation and practice. * Effectively manage crises, including de-escalating situations and implementing solutions, while providing clear direction and support to the team to maintain stability and ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals involved. * Promote integration of resource navigation, community partnerships, life skills development, and wraparound supports. * Ensure that any incidents or safety concerns are reported, addressed, and documented in accordance with the agency's policies and protocols. * Emergency Preparedness: Collaborate with the Director of Environmental Services to ensure ongoing compliance and adherence to policies and procedures, as well as other compliance, regulatory, accreditation, and institutional requirements related to safety. * Lead compliance efforts for CARF, HRSA, IHS & AAAHC accreditation through interdepartmental partnerships and collaboration. * Collaborate with Directors within the Health and Human Services division: Medical, Behavioral Health, Traditional Indian Medicine, and Dental - to deliver the highest quality care to SIHB relatives (patients). * Oversee program budgets, ensuring appropriate spending, documentation, and alignment with fiscal guidelines. * Track and analyze key performance indicators, service outcomes, and staffing metrics. * Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration or related field * 10 years of progressive leadership experience * Must have management-level understanding of budget and finance management * Experience within community health and/or public health * Supervisory experience within senior leadership roles * Must have the ability to relate and communicate effectively with community interest groups and agencies that serve the American Indian community * Proven experience in residential treatment operations management and organizational efficacy * Expertise in improving patient experience and patient satisfaction Previous experience with an Electronic Health Records (EHR) system and working in an EHR environment Must be detail-oriented and a team player Work extremely well under pressure, meet multiple and often competing deadlines
