Environmental Test Technician

Environmental Test Technician opening with an environmental consulting firm in Pittsburgh, PA. Entry-level position with training and opportunity for advancement to Test Engineer I role ($26.00/Hour) within first 6-to-12 months. Candidates must be comfortable with regional travel and working outdoors. Company vehicle provided for travel. All travel time, expenses, lodging + additional $72 per diem are paid by company. Responsibilities: + Perform air emissions testing and monitoring services at a variety of client industrial facilities. + Record and analyze data, collect samples. + Transport and set up testing equipment using a company vehicle; dismantle equipment post-testing. + Calibrate testing equipment and assist engineers in conducting air quality testing procedures. + Adhere to environmental, health, and safety protocols. + Organize and load testing equipment into vehicles for upcoming assignments. + Gain proficiency in EPA Test Methods 1-5 using company resources. Qualifications: + Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or related field is preferred. + Previous experience in a field testing, engineering, construction, industrial or relevant hands-on role. + Experience using instruments to collect samples and record data. + Team player with strong initiative and communication skills. + Ability to travel + Comfortable working at heights and lifting up to 75 lbs. Additional Information: + Career Path: Test Technician - Test Engineer I/II - AET Team Lead - Project Manager - Sr. Project Manager. + Expected travel is 70% over the course of the year. Majority of client sites are regional and drivable. + Typical projects require 2-to-5 days out of town during the standard work week, Monday-Friday. + Frequent overtime required when traveling, paid at 1.5x rate.
