We stop at nothing because we're the kind of people who give everything.The PositionThis position is responsible for overseeing the organization's physical security and safety operations, serving as Safety Officer to ensure a safe and secure working environment for all Mid-America Transplant staff. The role leads and supports the monitoring, response, and incident management activities that protect employees, facilities, and organizational assets. Acting as a key liaison for incident response and system administration, this position ensures secure access control for facility entrances and exits. The role also assists with the daily administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of physical security systems to uphold organizational safety standards.What You'll DoDevelop and implement a comprehensive workplace safety program aligned with organizational standards and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.Proactively identify and recommend opportunities to enhance safety across Mid-America Transplant facilities and workforce operations.Collaborate with Human Resources and Legal to manage and monitor workers' compensation claims, ensuring timely resolution and compliance.Deliver and maintain required safety trainings, including bloodborne pathogen training, for all staff members.Lead incident and injury debriefs to assess root causes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.Manage audit processes, conducting detailed risk analyses and supporting the development and implementation of corrective and preventive action plans.Oversee OSHA-related complaints by partnering with leadership to coordinate investigations, ensure resolution, and prepare thorough documentation and formal responses.What You'll BringBachelor's degree or a combination of equivalent educational, certification, and/or industry experience requiredAbility to obtain and maintain St. Louis City & County Security Officer License upon hire and ability to obtain and maintain.3+ years' experience with utilizing physical security access control, identity management, CCTV, alarm monitoring, and situational awareness systems or platforms strongly preferred.What We'll BringHealth insurance premium option at zero out of pocket for single coverage, eligible on your first day401(k) Retirement Match - offering up to a 5% match of annual salary starting the 1st day of the month following your start date401(k) Retirement Plan - offering up to another 9% contribution of your annual salary after one yearPaid Life Insurance - four times your salaryPaid Long Term DisabilityAnnual incentive plan in addition to annual salary increasesTuition Reimbursement Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
