Essential Functions Assists with developing, coordinating, scheduling, implementation, and evaluation of recreational programs, activities, special events, and facilities including adult athletics, summer camps, educational programs, and special events.Enforces rules and regulations, facility rules, etc. for use of the facility.Prepares program materials, equipment, first aid kits, and other necessary items.Prepare attendance and other necessary reports.Performs related duties as required. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education & Experience High school diploma or GED; experience coordinating recreational activities; and experience supervising or working with children.Possession of First Aid and CPR Certification preferred.Valid driver's license in the State of North Carolina.This position is a safety sensitive position and subject to random substance abuse testing in accordance with the Pender County Personnel Policy and Risk Policy. Physical RequirementsThis work requires the occasional exertion of up to 25 pounds of force; work regularly requires speaking or hearing, using hands to finger, handle or feel and reaching with hands and arms and frequently standing, walking, sitting, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, pushing or pulling, lifting and repetitive motions; work requires close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust focus, depth perception, color perception and peripheral vision; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data, visual inspection involving small defects and/or small parts, using of measuring devices, operating machines, operating motor vehicles or equipment and observing general surroundings and activities; work occasionally requires exposure to outdoor weather conditions; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. business office, light traffic).There are no benefits associated with this position.01 Do you have a high school diploma or GED equivalent?
