Shift: AM Benefits: Medical, Dental, AD&D, PSL Job Summary:The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for supporting the company s financial operations by ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and account reconciliations. This role also assists with accounts receivable functions, including billing, payment application, and resolving discrepancies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work collaboratively across departments.Key Responsibilities:Accounts Payable (AP):Process and verify vendor invoices for accuracy and proper approvalPrepare and issue payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers) in a timely mannerMaintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiriesReconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepanciesEnsure compliance with company policies and accounting proceduresAccounts Receivable (AR):Prepare, review, and post customer invoicesApply customer payments, credits, and adjustments accuratelyMonitor accounts receivable aging and assist with collections effortsInvestigate and resolve billing discrepancies with customers and internal teamsAdditional Duties:Maintain accurate financial records and documentationAssist with month-end closing activitiesSupport audits by providing required documentationCollaborate with internal teams to improve billing and payment processesQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required;Associate s or Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred1 3 years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accountingStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting softwareExcellent communication and problem-solving abilitiesWork Environment:Office setting with standard business hoursMay require occasional overtime during peak periodsFull Steam Staffing will consider qualified applicants with a criminal history pursuant to the California Fair Chance Act.
